Much like this website, as a career changing student many things in my life are starting from scratch. While it’s still a terrifying transition, it's also exhilarating and liberating to allow myself to honestly re-evaluate my true values and interests. By humbly dropping all pretenses, I can start anew and spring towards my goal, the thing that’s been tugging on my mental sleeve.
A well-known Chinese philosopher by the name of Lao Tzu put it this way: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
He must have understood that change isn't easy for everyone; human beings are creatures of habit and have rebelled against change in notorious ways.
You may have lofty ambitions that don’t match your current lifestyle or would clash against the expectations others have stacked on you. You may doubt your ability to learn new things or hesitate in starting some uncommon venture.I won't lie. You may very well fail at it all. Who cares? Get out there, fail fast, learn much, and keep at it! There’ll only be one of you on this earth and you owe the one and only you to do the thing, do all the things! Put on your best socks and get out there. You’ve got things to do!
